The PMS Enterprise Web REST API (also known as a RESTful API or RESTful Web API) is an application programming interface (API) that follows the design principles of the REST (Representational State Transfer) architectural style. REST APIs offer a flexible and compact way to integrate applications and connect components. APIs make it possible to exchange only the necessary information while keeping other internal system details hidden, which contributes to system security. Servers or devices do not have to disclose all their data—APIs enable the exchange of small data packets that are relevant to the specific request.
